Pediatric Associates of Brockton
Pediatric Associates of Brockton with its highly experienced group of pediatricians and excellent staff has been serving the South Shore community for more than four decades. We have three offices located in Brockton, West Bridgewater, and Hanson. Our practice is limited to infants, children, and adolescents to the age of 23 years. We are dedicated to the well being of our patients and families.
If you are new to the area or expecting a baby and looking for a primary care provider for your child, give our office a call and meet with one of our pediatricians.
Our offices are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays with evening hours for emergencies. We also have excellent Saturday, Sunday and holiday coverage available for our patients all year round. We are available to answer any questions 24/7/365 per year.
Our pediatricians are on the staff at the Steward Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, as well as being affiliated with South Shore Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital. We at Pediatric Associates work as a team with families, helping to coordinate care for children with chronic illness as well as children with emotional and school adjustment problems.
We are an official member of the Reach Out and Read® Program, a national early literacy program. PAB has also received many Outstanding Quality Awards throughout the years by the insurance companies as well as the community.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Families, Friends and Colleagues,
Please be informed that PAB has decided to close the Hanson office site effective Monday, August 31, 2020. It is with some sadness that we are to undertake this change after more than 35 years at our present site.
We would like to reassure everyone that our current Brockton office at 370 Oak Street, Brockton and our West Bridgewater office at 291 East Center Street, West Bridgewater will remain open and we will be adding hours, staff and equipment to handle the transition.
Our Hanson office site will remain open this Summer (June, July and August) to do routine complete physical examinations, sic visits and any other visit needed by our patients.
The decision to close our Hanson office was due to many factors including; reduced office visits, changing demographics, aging facilities and other longstanding issues.
Please be assured that PAB will remain steadfast in retaining and expanding our other two vital locations to ensure the quality of patient care that all of you expect and deserve.

COVID-19/Corona Virus Patient Information
Our intent as your health care provider is to keep your children and yourself as safe and healthy as possible during this novel (new) Coronavirus outbreak. At this point in time the office does not have the ability to test for the Coronavirus and there is no vaccine or medication available for it. In most cases oral hydration, fever management, isolation and rest are what is recommended for the care of your child.
If your child has fever, cough and difficulty breathing and you have reason to believe that your child has been exposed to anyone who has traveled to the affected countries or have been exposed to someone with a positive or presumptive case of the virus we encourage you to call the office and speak to a nurse or your child’s provider before coming in. Based on the symptoms we may advise you to self-treat at home or we will contact the Department of Public Health on your behalf for a recommendation.
The public health response has clearly shown that the most effective method of minimizing how severe this illness becomes is keeping yourself at home when you are sick with mild symptoms. We are fortunate that children do not seem to develop severe symptoms with this virus but they are capable of passing the virus along to others. As your health care provider, we are strongly recommending self-quarantine to our patients with mild symptoms as opposed to a visit into the office. We will be making arrangements to have extra staff available to answer phone calls for children with illness symptoms.
Here is a list of things that you can do at home to minimize the risk of being exposed to coronavirus and to minimize the amount spread to others if you catch the virus:
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

January 28, 2020
To Our Valued Patient/Families;
We are writing this letter as a follow-up and to apologize for any confusion regarding the posting we made last year of a change Pediatric Associates would undergo on January 1, 2020. Our post was letting patients know that we would be joining the Children’s Hospital Physician Network (PPOC). This change will impact our practice in a very positive way and the alliance will strengthen our practice by allowing us to collaborate with Boston Children’s Hospital.
Unfortunately, with this change, there are some insurances that we will no longer be able to accept at Pediatric Associates due to our contractual agreement. It was our understanding that our patients would be informed by their insurance carrier that we are no longer contracted with the following plans; Tufts Spirit, Tufts Select, Tufts Steward, Fallon Direct and Cigna Local Plus Network. Also, all of our Masshealth patients have been transferred to the Tufts BCH ACO plan through Masshealth. In the past few weeks, we have been notified that only our Masshealth patients were notified and for that, we apologize.
We want to continue to provide quality care to our patients and hope that you may be able to find an alternative plan that would allow you to continue with our practice. If you are not able to continue with our practice we will do our very best to assist you promptly in transitioning to another pediatrician. As a courtesy, we would be happy to see your child for urgent care until February 29, 2020. You will only be responsible for your co-payment listed on your insurance card.
If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone regarding the insurances that we do accept, please feel free to contact our office at (508) 584-1234.
